A 20xx Ford Focus SEL FlexFuel. No idea which year though, it didn't come with a owner's manual.

The Focus and the Dart are two cars under $20k that I like, so this is sort of like meeting my hero in a way. I wonder if it'll hold up to my expectations....

Door data plate or under-hood emission sticker: either will tell you the model year.

Whats the 10th digit of the vin say? A-10, B-11,C-12, D-13,E-14

The SEL trim was dropped for 2014, so you've got either a 2012 or a 2013.

SEL was the trim between SE and Titanium.

But the real question is, '956' what? What does it refer to? It kept me up all night last night.

Yeah, I asked the enterprise guy what trim it was (last week I established he didn't know too much about cars), and then I sort of answered his question with "base?" He said yeah. Then I swy the car, and I realized it wasn't the base model.

He also said the car takes a while to accelerated, but said 'since I was a car guy', I'll figure it out.

open the driver's door, you should find a white sticker somewhere with the date it was made.
